Why The Rams Could Win

The Los Angeles Rams are one of the best teams in the NFL. They are coming off a very disappointing loss to a tough Titans team and will be looking to bounce back on Monday night. Los Angeles has faced very little adversity this season. Their only loss prior to last week was against the Arizona Cardinals. LA has managed to consistently win games and to do so by a dominant margin. LA added Von Miller and just added Odell Beckham Jr. to their already stacked roster. This Rams team is a top super bowl contender.

Leading the way for LA is Matthew Stafford. Stafford has been having an amazing season so far. He has thrown for nearly 2,800 yard, 23 touchdowns, and only 6 interceptions. Stafford is a huge reason for LA's success and will look to continue dominating on Monday. In their last game against the Titans, however, Stafford threw two interceptions. These costly turnovers likely cost LA the game. This type of play from Stafford has been non existent thus far and he will be looking to have a big bounce back game on Monday.

On the other side of the ball, the Rams defense is one of the best in the league. Los Angeles ranks 12th overall in total yards allowed. But where they really impress is in their front line. The Rams allow less than 100 rushing yards a game. If LA can force the Niners to throw the ball then they should be in a good position to win this game. Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey, and now Von Miller are three superstars that now make up the Rams defense. LA is a very tough opponent and will look to prove it on Monday.

Why The 49ers Could Win

The San Francisco 49ers haven't been having a great season. They are only 3-5 and are coming off a two touchdown loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Now usually a loss to the Cardinals wouldn't indicate much because they are such a great team. However, Arizona was playing without their star quarterback, Kyler Murray, and the Niners still failed to make it competitive. San Francisco will look to bounce back and upset their divisional rivals in a big Monday Night Football game.

Leading this Niners team is Jimmy Garoppolo. Jimmy G has been having a pretty solid season. He threw for nearly 330 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception against Arizona. He has kept this Niners team in games. On the season he has thrown for over 1,700 yards, 8 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions, and this is only through 7 games of play. His big problem has been finding the end zone. Jimmy G hasn't thrown for more than two touchdowns in a game this season. If the veteran quarterback can manage to find the end one then the Niners could give the Rams a run for their money.

The bright spot for San Francisco has been their defense. The Niners rank 8th overall in total yards allowed. San Francisco allows less than 340 yards of offense per game. What's more impressive is that they have been limiting opponents to only 210 passing yards a game. LA is a pass dominant team, so this match up is actually pretty favorable for the Niners. Expect San Francisco's defense to step things up and try to shut down the electric LA offense.

Final Rams-49ers Prediction & Pick

This is a pretty easy decision. The Rams are definitely the better team here and the line is kind of surprising. The bookmakers are likely overcompensating for LA's loss last week, but that loss really seems to have been a fluke. It was not representative of this Rams team and LA will surely bounce back in a big way this week. The Niners have not shown that they're capable of covering against a team of LA's caliber. Pick the Rams to win and cover and get ready for a dominant outing from LA.

FINAL RAMS-49ERS PICK: Los Angeles Rams -3.5 (-110)
