The Tennessee Titans will face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football in Week 9. It's time to continue our NFL odds series and make a Titans-Rams prediction and pick.

This game will be a great indicator for the how the rest of Tennessee's season will go. This is the first game the Titans will play without superstar running back Derrick Henry since the end of the 2019 season. It's just Tennessee's luck that this game is against a streaking Rams team. Los Angeles has scored four straight victories by two or more scores, and they just made a huge addition to their team. Former Super Bowl MVP Von Miller will suit up as a Ram for the first time in this game, giving Los Angeles the best defensive line in the NFL by a wide margin. This battle of contenders should be an entertaining one, so let's get into the pick.

Here's how the bookmakers have set the lines for the Titans-Rams game.

NFL Odds: Titans-Rams Odds

Tennessee Titans: +7 (-105)

Los Angeles Rams: -7 (-115)

Over: 53.5 (-104)

Under: 53.5 (-118)

Why The Titans Can Cover The Spread

Tennessee has been in situations like this one before. The Titans have entered three games as a touchdown underdog this season, and they've won every single one of them outright. Those three victories came against the Seattle Seahawks, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Buffalo Bills. Even more impressive is the fact that every single one of those wins took place on the road. The scene is set for the Titans to continue their trend of road upsets in this one.

While the Rams defense is known as one of the best units in the NFL, they've been less than stellar against opposing run games. Los Angeles doesn't give up too many yards per game, but they do allow 4.4 yards per carry to opposing running backs. Tennessee will obviously sorely miss Henry in this game, but the run game should function with efficiency in his absence. The offensive line will be just as good as it was for Henry, and that will be enough for the Titans to get their run game going here.

Why The Rams Can Cover The Spread

The Titans have a couple of glaring weaknesses, but their biggest is their pass defense. The Titans are a bottom ten unit against opposing air attacks, giving up 267 yards per game to opposing quarterbacks. Los Angeles has been one of the best passing offenses in the entire NFL behind quarterback Matthew Stafford, so this is obviously a great matchup for the Rams. Tennessee also has two starting cornerbacks on injured reserve, so Stafford and wide receiver Cooper Kupp should combine to beat up on the Titans backups in the secondary.

The injury bug seems to hit a couple of teams every year, and it looks like it's Tennessee's turn. The Titans will miss a bevy of starters in this game, including linebacker Rashaan Evans, and guard Nate Davis. Starting tackle Taylor Lewan and star wide receiver AJ Brown are both questionable for this game too. The injuries are piling up for the Titans here, so it's hard to see them playing their best football.

Final Titans-Rams Prediction & Pick

It's hard to give the Rams credit in this spot. They've beaten up on bad teams for a month straight now, and now a legitimate AFC contender comes to town. The spread is just too big to bet on Los Angeles. Lock in the Titans in this one.

FINAL RAMS-TITANS PREDICTION & PICK: Tennessee Titans: +7 (-105)
