Why The Raiders Could Cover The Spread

The Raiders may look to lean on their run game and Josh Jacobs in this one in an effort to keep Burrow and the Bengals' offense on the sideline. Derek Carr has been a bit turnover prone this season and Las Vegas would be smart to lean on the ground game if possible vs. the Bengals defense. The Raiders snuck into the dance, and may not have any business being there. But they are a dangerous team coming into the postseason on a four-game win streak with a lot of momentum. Darren Waller, who was banged up late in the season, appears to be on track to suit up in this one. He commands tons of attention from defenses when healthy so this is a huge factor.

Las Vegas vs. the spread

The Raiders went 8-9 vs. the spread in the regular season, covering in their last three games. Las Vegas went 7-4 against the spread as an underdog this season, and 4-2 as the away dog.

Why The Bengals Could Cover The Spread

Burrow and his elite set of skill players will put the Raiders' defense to the test in this one. Ja'Marr Chase might be the Offensive Rookie of the Year, as he exploded for a massive season after being selected with the No. 5 pick in the 2021 draft by the Bengals. Burrow had a spectacular season off of his season-ending knee injury from the 2020 season, and he may be in line for some Comeback Player of the Year support. Joe Mixon gives the Bengals a dual threat of rushing and receiving out of the backfield, rounding out what is a very formidable offensive attack.

Cincinnati won three consecutive games over the Denver Broncos, Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs to lock down the AFC North in Weeks 15-17 before resting their starters in Week 18. They are hot, rested, and could be primed for a run.

Cincinnati vs. the spread

The Bengals went 10-7 vs. the spread during the regular season, covering in their last four games. Cincinnati was 4-4 against the line as a favorite, and 2-3 as the home favorite.

Final Raiders-Bengals AFC Wild Card Prediction & Pick

This is a tough one, as these two teams both enter this game on a hot streak. Take the Bengals to cover and win at home as the Raiders saw quite a bit of luck to get to this point.

Final Raiders-Bengals AFC Wild Card Prediction & Pick: Bengals -5.5 (-108)
