In the grand scheme of things, the Pro Bowl doesn't matter. It's two teams jumbled up of talented players playing in a meaningless game where most play at a fraction of the passion they play at any other week. It doesn't matter.

What does matter, however, is life. On Sunday, the world lost a precious life. Basketball great Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Marie (GiGi for short) passed away in a helicopter crash outside of Los Angeles. Kobe was 41. GiGi was 13. Three others died in the tragic accident.

While the NBA held moments of silence for some games and an accepted shot clock violation in others, the NFL honored Bryant too. Watch below. Fans chant “KO-BE” in Orlando before the Pro Bowl to honor Bryant and his daughter.

The sports world will never be the same. There will never be another Kobe.
