Nikola Jokic has been efficiently carrying the load for the Denver Nuggets, but it looks like he's on the verge of getting his two running mates back for a hopeful playoff run. With Michael Porter Jr nearing a return from back surgery, star point guard Jamal Murray, who tore his ACL last season, is also expected to be in the mix again by the postseason, according to The Athletic's Sam Amick.

The Nuggets are currently 36-25 and just blew out the Portland Trail Blazers by 32 points on Sunday night. The Joker is playing at an MVP level and is the number one reason Michael Malone's group is in contention right now. While others on the roster have stepped up like Aaron Gordon and Will Barton, Porter Jr and Murray are extremely important.

Porter wasn't expected to play again this season but it appears rehab for his back has gone very well. The former Missouri standout struggled before going on the shelf though, averaging just 9.9 points and 6.6 boards on a 21% clip from downtown. However, he did drop almost 20 points per night in 2020/21.

As for Murray, the Canadian put up career-best numbers last season before the horrific injury, averaging 21.2 points while shooting over 40% from long range. The Nuggets are currently tied for fifth place in the West after winning their sixth in a row vs. Portland. When these two return, watch out for Denver.
