The Denver Nuggets are still experimenting with their roster to help fill the void caused by the wrist injury, and succeeding surgery, of veteran forward Paul Millsap. Although there was speculation that Millsap's absence would swing the door right open for power forward Kenneth Faried, his minutes have still continued to fluctuate.

It would be understandable for Faried to grow frustrated with his role, especially after being relegated to the bench following a year in which he started a majority of the games. However, according to Gina Mizell of The Denver Post, Faried finds it easy to be ready to perform whenever his time comes.

“It’s easy,” a tight-lipped Faried said. “I love playing the game. Coach calls my name, I check in and do my thing.”

The most recent example of his inconsistent playing time came during their three-game stretch following Millsap's injury. Kenneth Faried made his first start of the 2017-18 NBA season against the Sacramento Kings before he was benched two days later versus the Houston Rockets. He then got the nod from head coach Mike Malone once again in the Nuggets' win over the Memphis Grizzlies, where he recorded 14 points and a season-high nine rebounds.

Given the small sample size, it is difficult to assess whether or not the trend will continue. Regardless, it seems Faried is poised to accept whatever role comes his way in the months to come for the Nuggets.
