Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic practically delivered the nail in the coffin of the Memphis Grizzlies at Ball Arena on Monday. The Joker, who is shooting 42.2 percent from long range this season, was left wide open by the Grizzlies at the top of the key with under a minute left in the second extra period.

The audacity, right? That's just a recipe for disaster.

The 7-foot Serbian made Memphis pay for their disrespect of his shooting prowess, as he gave the Nuggets a 3-point lead in that crucial juncture of the match. Here's Jokic's clutch heroics that gave them a 139-137 overtime win.

Nikola Jokic was automatic from the field all-game long, making the Grizzlies' late-game defensive lapse even more head-scratching. He punished the visitors with 47 points on 20-for-31 shooting from the field, including two 3-pointers in 45 minutes. He was two assists shy of another triple-double performance, adding 15 boards, eight dimes and one block.

With Jokic playing the best basketball of his career, Denver has bounced back from a slow start and is now back in the Top 4 in the West with a 37-20 slate. His amazing play in the wake of Jamal Murray's season-ending injury only strengthens his bid for MVP this season.

Let this be a warning to the rest of the league: never leave The Joker wide open, especially with the game on the line.
