As the saying goes, try and try until you succeed. Well, Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets seems to be taking this to heart.

During the second quarter of Wednesday’s game between the Nuggets and Atlanta Hawks, Jokic showed how relentless he is off the glass, stopping at nothing until he scores a basket for his team. After attempting a semi-hook that missed, Jokic grabbed the offensive rebound and tried his luck one more time. He was again unsuccessful, even after a few more tips, but eventually made the hard-earned basket after five attempts.

During that sequence alone, the 22-year-old Serbian international was able to pad on to his stats with a few more rebounds to go along with the well-deserved two points. Jokic's efforts went to waste, though, as the Nuggets lost at home to the team with the worst record in the league, 110-97.

Jokic was able to finish the game with only nine points, on 4-of-21 shooting from the field, but he managed to salvage a respectable stat line with 12 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and three blocks. For the season, Jokic is averaging 15.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.

He seems to have steadily regained his old form after a rather quiet stretch this season for Jokic.

The Nuggets have lost three games in a row as they drop to sixth place in the Western Conference with a 22-19 record. The Hawks, on the other hand, snapped a four-game losing streak and they have now won for only the 11th time in 31 games.
