With the free-agent market beginning thin out, many teams across the league are adding pieces for depth to their roster.

According to Chase Hughes of CSN Mid-Atlantic, former Washington Wizards point guard Trey Burke is receiving interest from the Orlando Magic.

Since being drafted with the ninth overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, Burke has struggled to meet the lofty expectations in front of him falling into a limited role off the bench. He is coming off his least productive season in the league in his first year with the Wizard putting up career lows across the board with 5.0 points and 1.8 assists in 12.3 minutes per game in 57 games played with no starts.

Burke has just completed his four-year, $11 million rookie deal. However, the bulk of the interest on the open market has been geared toward one-year deals. He has struggled to find his way in his brief NBA career, but the 24-year-old has shown he can be a productive player when given the opportunity.

The interest from the Magic is quite intriguing given that they already have a few point guards under contract in Elfrid Payton, D.J. Augustin, and C.J. Watson. There isn't necessarily a need to add another to the mix, but the interest could stem from the potential that Burke still has.
