After the ignominious defeat by the Green Bay Packers at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship, rumors are swirling around the future of longtime Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the green and gold.

According to reporting by John Healy of Radio.com, former Packers offensive lineman T.J. Lang believes Rodgers is “hellbent on some revenge” against Packers ownership.

“I think he was quietly pissed when they took Jordan Love a year ago,” Lang said. “The one thing I’ll say about Aaron Rodgers, pretty much the last 10 years of his career he’s wanted that team to just go all-in for one year. ‘Just give me some pieces, let’s just go all-in, let’s trade a future first if we have to get a couple guys. Let’s just go all-in and try to win this thing.’

And then last year, he hinted at them doing that, ‘Hey, I’m excited, let’s see who they can bring in,’ and they bring in a QB. I think that was the ultimate slap to the face when you feel like you’re one piece away from winning the whole thing.”

Indeed, many were quite shocked when the Packers traded the No. 30 and No. 136 selections in the 2020 NFL Draft to move up to No. 26 to take Jordan Love out of Utah State.

Clearly, Rodgers was one of those that was shocked. Many fans and pundits believed that Green Bay would prioritize a playmaking wide receiver for Rodgers to throw to. Instead, they drafted a potential replacement for the living legend.

Who knows what the future holds for Rodgers and the Packers, but it seems he’s unhappy.
