Tuesday was a historic night for the Florida Panthers. In a back-and-forth affair against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Panthers emerged victorious in overtime after being down 5-1, becoming the third team in NHL history to have multiple comebacks after being down by four goals. Florida secured the win on an overtime goal scored by star left wing Jonathan Huberdeau, who also made some individual history on that shot. Huberdeau set an insane record that is a franchise first for the Panthers, per ESPN.

Huberdeau scored a pair of goals and three assists on Tuesday night against the Maple Leafs, giving him 102 points on the season. He is the first player in franchise history to score over 100 points in a season.

To put it in perspective, only three players have scored more than 100 points this season, with just five more having totaled 85 or more.

It's certainly a lofty piece of franchise history for Huberdeau, who is enjoying his best season since the 2018-2019 season. The 28-year-old battled injuries in past seasons but is a different kind of player when he's fully healthy.

Huberdeau's Panthers have totaled the best record in the Eastern Conference and have the best point differential in the league, thanks to the NHL's best offense.

If things keep trending this way, Huberdeau and the Panthers might be making some more history soon.
