After somehow having gathered the strength to play in a pivotal Game 4 against the San Antonio Spurs after the sudden loss of his grandfather, point guard Patrick Beverley is once again expected to suit up for the Houston Rockets on Tuesday for Game 5 of the series, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

Beverley, who was seen crying intensely in the locker room prior to the game, was able to honor his grandfather by scoring the first bucket of the game on a three-point shot, which he commemorated by pointing to the heavens upon getting on the board.

The Arkansas product put up solid contributions, tallying 10 points, six assists, four rebounds, and a steal during his 26 minutes on the floor in Game 4's 125-104 blowout win.

Following the game, Beverley spoke fondly of his family member and the impact he had on Beverley's game and life growing up.

His presence will be much-needed if the Rockets hope to go up a game as the series shifts to the AT&T Center in San Antonio.

Beverley's mix of stingy defense and three-point shooting encompasses the three-and-D motto the Rockets have modeled their roster after, and should it prove effective once again, he could potentially become the talisman for which the team rallies after to come out of this Texas showdown.
