Former NFL quarterback Jim McMahon had some very choice words for New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick on Wednesday afternoon.

McMahon spoke Wednesday on the strange circumstances regarding his contract negotiations with the Cleveland Browns in 1995. He said the legendary Patriots head coach and former Browns head coach continuously sent mixed messages about his future with Cleveland.

McMahon suggested Belichick asked he pick up and move to Cleveland with his family. However, the Browns did not actually sign McMahon until nearly midway through the season.

The former Super Bowl-winning QB told 850 ESPN Cleveland he had a scuffle with Belichick after the current Patriots icon said the team wouldn't pay the aging signal-caller:

“And I lost it. I just snapped,” McMahon said, via Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. “I grabbed him by the neck and threw his head against the wall and said, ‘You’re gonna pay me my money.” Then I started realizing what I was doing and I’m looking around the hallway to see if there were any cameras. I stopped hitting him and he slid down the wall.”

That wasn't all, though. McMahon had some parting words for Belichick:

“So I walk back into the QB meeting — it was Vinny Testaverde, myself and Eric Zeier and just said ‘Hey boys, I’ll see you all later. I’m outta here’ The coach said, ‘Have you talked Bill?’ I said, “You can tell Bill to kiss my ass. He’s a lying piece of shit.’ Then I was gone. The very next day I was up in Green Bay” McMahon said, via Florio.

Belichick has devised a reputation as a demanding, team-first guy who devised the “Do Your Job” mentality and the Patriots Way.

Patriots fans are surely glad to have Belichick at the helm in New England. After all, he's led the franchise to six Super Bowl titles.

However, McMahon feels Belichick is something else entirely.
