The Pittsburgh Steelers made headlines following Week 16 for their release of veteran linebacker James Harrison. The move came as a result of the return of right tackle Marcus Gilbert from suspension, however, it is apparent that the Steelers have gone in a much younger direction on defense.

Needless to say, it did not take long for the New England Patriots to jump at the chance of signing the Steelers franchise leader in sacks. Both sides have since reportedly agreed to a one-year deal, according to ESPN's Field Yates:

Harrison essentially confirmed the signing by posting this picture with Patriots superstar quarterback Tom Brady on Instagram:

That said, it seems Harrison is already starting to fit into his new home. Of course, for Brady, there is plenty of reason to welcome the new addition with open arms. Meanwhile, veteran quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is likely not too happy with the thought of being sacked by his former teammate in a potential AFC Championship showdown with their conference rivals

Not only does he bring a championship pedigree to the Patriots defense, but they have been incredibly thin on the edge. New England has largely relied on several combinations of personnel to help make up for their middling slew of edge rushers.
