The New England Patriots seem to have finally found their guy. Rookie quarterback Mac Jones has been a revelation for Bill Belichick and co., as he has helped usher in the post-Tom Brady era. He has led the Patriots to a 6-4 record heading into their Week 11 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

While Jones has some stiff competition for the coveted Rookie of the Year trophy, he has at least one claim that puts him way above his peers. Mac Jones' 6-4 record with the Patriots is better than ALL of the rookie quarterbacks from this year's draft class… COMBINED. (via B/R Gridiron)

Obviously, Jones has been put in a better scenario than some of his other quarterback mates. Being coached by Belichick on a proven Patriots organization is better than the dysfunctional mess Trevor Lawrence is in with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Other rookies haven't been able to play a whole lot this season: Zach Wilson of the New York Jets continues to miss time after a knee injury in Week 7.

However… there's no denying that Jones has been above and beyond with his play this season. In 10 starts for the Patriots, the rookie has posted a 69% completion rate for the season, passing for around 233 yards per game and scoring 13 passing touchdowns for a passer rating of 94.1. That passer rating easily leads all rookie quarterbacks this season.

At this rate, Jones and the Patriots may be able to sniff the wild-card picture. This will be a massive turnaround for Belichick and co, who have seemingly found their franchise quarterback just two seasons after Tom Brady left the team to join Tampa Bay. As for Jones… well, if we wants to gun for that Offensive Rookie of the Year trophy, he'll need to step it up, as Ja'Marr Chase and Najee Harris are also performing incredibly for their teams.
