Teams around the NFL are preparing for what the 2020 NFL season will look like and that includes altering their ticket packages. On Friday, the New England Patriots shared that they are allowing season ticket holders to skip the 2020 NFL season due to COVID-19.

Instead of offering a full refund like other teams, the Patriots are giving season ticket holders a chance to secure the same seats for the 2021 NFL season. The email sharing the announcement for New England was obtained by the Associated Press.

Besides the Patriots, other teams have taken their own precautions when it comes to their season ticket holders. Earlier this month, the Green Bay Packers sent their season ticket holders masks that featured the team's logo.

The NFL, similar to other leagues, is uncertain about what the regular season will look like due to the obstacles caused by the coronavirus. Despite the uncertainty, New England is extending a nice gesture to their season ticket holders.

The Patriots have had a policy in place in previous seasons that states that if a season ticket holder cancels their tickets it'll disallow them from purchasing those seats in future years. Even without Tom Brady in Foxborough, the Patriots still have a waitlist for season tickets. However, they are making it easier on fans who are hesitant about going to games this season.

Of course, there are some fans that are more susceptible to contract COVID-19. Provided that, the Patriots season ticket holders won't have to worry about losing their spot in the stands, allowing them to keep their tickets until 2021.
