The New England Patriots will get their chance for revenge early. The defending Super Bowl champions will host the Pittsburgh Steelers in primetime on Sunday Night Football in Week 1, according to Jeff Howe of The Athletic.

Bits of the schedule are starting to trickle out ahead of the full schedule release, and now we have the info on one of their biggest games. The defending Super Bowl champions usually play the league's opening game on a Thursday night, but not this year. For the NFL's 100th season, they're going with a Green Bay Packers facing the division rival Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.

The Patriots will still be in the spotlight in Week 1 though, playing a huge game on national TV. The Steelers finally beat the Patriots in the regular season last year, winning a tight game in Pittsburgh. It was a big stumble for the Patriots and a huge win for the Steelers. Pittsburgh couldn't capitalize on it though, as they collapsed right after and missed the playoffs.

New England has had some slow starts the past couple of seasons, and they'll be eager to start the 2019 campaign on the right foot. They surely don't want to drop two in a row to the Steelers, so this game has some extra importance.

Because of their dominance in their respective divisions, these teams have played seemingly every year for a while now — the Ben Roethlisberger vs. Tom Brady rivalry has been a great one, and we might not get to see it too many more times.

With both quarterbacks getting up there in age, and the Steelers slipping in the division, this could be one of the last matchups between these two legendary signal-callers that we see. We should make sure to cherish it.
