New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman recently took to social media to express his excitement upon hearing about wide receiver Josh Gordon's reinstatement. It appears he is not the only wideout happy to see him back at practice.

According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, wide receiver Phillip Dorsett is excited to have Gordon back in the mix:

“We love Josh. I love Josh. I’m just glad to have him back,” WR Phillip Dorsett says of Josh Gordon. “He looks good. When you haven’t seen one of your brothers in a long time, and you see him, it’s definitely refreshing.”

It is encouraging to see Gordon's teammates fully embracing his return. After all, the NFL is a business and the presence of a player of his caliber can somewhat diminish the value of the other players in the receiving corps. Regardless, it is clear that their feelings for his well-being have taken precedent.

The Patriots came into training camp with a surplus of talented names at receiver. Dorsett was certainly among those competing for a vital spot on the roster. Despite the tremendous depth they managed to garner, none of them are capable of providing the kind of explosive element to the offense like Gordon is.

The retirement of tight end Rob Gronkowski leaves a notable void in the passing game for quarterback Tom Brady. Although a healthy Gordon is certain to garner his fair share of targets, the attention he commands when on the field could open things up for the other receivers on the field.

Dorsett hopes to be among those taking advantage.
