New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is being double- and triple-teamed by opposing teams. According to his brother, Gronkowski is “super frustrated” with this and the overall lack of production of the offense.

Gronkowski has only six catches for 66 yards over the last two games and has found it tough to get open with the constant double-teams. Chris Gronkowski said in an interview with WEEI via the Boston Globe that it is taking a toll on his brother. Not just that he isn't able to get open, but that the guys on the outside aren't getting open for Tom Brady.

“Usually a tight end is being covered by a linebacker, who really can’t cover anyone,” Chris Gronkowski said. “When you’re giving up two of your best defenders — two safeties or a corner and a safety — to cover a tight end, your guys on the outside should be able to win

The elder Gronkowski said he hasn't specifically talked to his brother about these frustrations, but he can just tell from reactions that it is taking a toll.

“I can just tell by his emotions, his facial features, that he’s super frustrated with it. You can see at the end of the game, how they ended the game double-covering him, pressing him off the line,” Chris said. “He just wants to get the ball in his hands and make plays. But you just can’t do it when no one else is getting open.”

The Patriots should be getting some help soon with Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon getting back into the fold within the next couple of weeks. Maybe that will help take some of the pressure off Gronkowski. Whatever the case, it's clear something needs to change.
