The New England Patriots are hoping for an improvement in the 2022 season. Bill Belichick has assembled a solid roster while all eyes are on Mac Jones to develop accordingly. Robert Kraft weighs in on what is expected from the young quarterback as he enters year two of his career.

According to Pro Football Talk, Robert Kraft likes what he's seen from Mac Jones, but it's time for the young quarterback to step up. The Patriots owner states, “This year will be very telling. To come into something as new as this, as established, I think he got beat up pretty bad, and he kept coming back and getting up and really doing some great stuff. Just the way he handles himself, he took some real beatings and hopped up. He has developed a good relationship with the whole cadre of receivers. I'm very happy with what I've seen. But this is a big year, the second year.”

The pressure is officially on Mac Jones to perform. However, while multiple teams in the AFC have added major firepower to their rosters, the Patriots have kind of sat idly by. The defense is likely where it needs to be, which means we should see New England acquire solid talent for the offense through the NFL Draft.

We'll see how it all plays out for the Patriots, as Mac Jones still has room for improvement. If he can manage to develop, then New England will have a chance to earn a spot in the playoffs.
