New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft had a huge legal victory when it was ruled that the prosecution couldn't use the tape from inside the massage parlor in their case against him but he wants to take it even a step farther now.

Diana Moskovitz of Deadspin.com reports that Kraft now wants to make sure that the video won't ever see the light of day, and won't be released to the public.

Now that the Court has concluded that the Videos were illegally obtained and subject to suppression, it follows that the public has no right to access these materials—which materials never should have never come into existence in the first place. As such, the Court has ‘good cause’ under Florida Rule of Criminal Procedure to modify the scope of the Protective Order for the sake of dispelling any doubt that State is permanently prohibited from releasing the same Videos that it had no legal basis to obtain, much less to retain and release.

The motion by Kraft's defense team goes on to say that sealed because otherwise, the states prosecutors office can release them.

A judge ruled earlier that the videos couldn't be released until the case was resolved or a jury was seated. The judge never said that a guilty verdict was required to have the video's released. If Kraft's motion doesn't work once the state drops their case against Kraft, (which is probably the next step) the prosecution can release the video to the public.

Kraft really doesn't want that to happen so expect him to fight this for as long as he needs to make sure these videos don't ever see the light of day.
