The New England Patriots are unlikely to have Rob Gronkowski for Week 10 against the Tennessee Titans. But on the bright side, running back Sony Michel is likely to make his return after his recent absence, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Michel has missed the Patriots’ past two games after suffering a knee injury against the Chicago Bears in Week 7. He had a shot to play last week against the Green Bay Packers, but he was ultimately ruled out just before the game.

Michel had been playing well before suffering his injury. He rushed for 316 yards with four touchdowns over a three-week span.

Although Michel will be back in the lineup, it’s still unclear what type of workload he will get against the Titans. If the Patriots plan to bring him along slowly, James White and wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson will likely to continue to share the carries.

Patterson has played surprisingly well after being shifted into the running back spot with Michel missing, leading the Patriots in rushing in each of the past two games. He had 10 carries for 38 yards against the Bills and had 11 carries for 61 yards and a touchdown against the Packers. White also contributed against the Packers with two rushing touchdowns.

With Michel back in the mix, the Patriots will look to do damage against a capable Titans run defense which is in the top 10 in the league in terms of the fewest rushing yards allowed per carry (4.1) and tied for second in fewest rushing touchdowns allowed (3).
