New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was limited in practice on Wednesday due to a calf injury, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Brady has not missed a game due to injury since 2008, when he tore his ACL during the season opener.

The 42-year-old looked brilliant in the first two weeks of the 2019 campaign, throwing for 605 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions while completing 68.8 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 124.8.

Most recently, Brady completed 20 of his 28 throws for 264 yards and a couple of touchdowns in a 43-0 win over the Miami Dolphins last Sunday.

The Patriots have gotten off to a 2-0 start, as they also hammered the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1.

Brady is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which some questioned whether or not he was beginning to decline due to a couple of rough outings in the second half of the season. He ended up throwing for 4,355 yards, 29 touchdowns and 11 picks while completing 65.8 percent of his passes and recording a passer rating of 97.7, making the Pro Bowl as a result. Most importantly, he led New England to its sixth Super Bowl title.

The future Hall-of-Famer has made 10 consecutive Pro Bowl appearances and has made 14 Pro Bowls overall throughout his 20-year NFL career. He has also earned three First-Team All-Pro selections.

Should Brady be unavailable for the Pats' Week 3 matchup against the New York Jets this Sunday, Jarrett Stidham would likely take his place.

The Patriots have outscored their opponents 76-3 over their first couple of games.
