Heading into his 19th season in the league, the question of his long-term future in the NFL has been a prominent topic around New England Patriots star quarterback Tom Brady.

The 41-year-old has continued to stay on the path of voicing his commitment to playing several more years before he concludes his illustrious career. Brady once again reiterated in his Tom vs. time Facebook series that he wants to be able to play five more seasons in the league. (h/t Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk)

“I would love to play five more years,” Brady said in the epilogue to his Tom vs. Time Facebook series. “It will be a challenge for me. I don’t think it’s going to be easy. It’s f–king going to be hard to do. I think it’s going to be very hard to do. But I think I can do it.”

Despite his advanced age in his NFL career, Brady has shown wavering in his performance on the field in any manner over the last few years as he's still playing at an elite level. He is coming off one of his most productive seasons that saw him become the oldest player in the league to win an NFL MVP award after he led the Patriots to the best record in the league at 13-3 behind his arm with an NFL-best 4,577 passing yards while being third with 32 passing touchdowns, a 102.8 passer rating, and fifth with a 66.3 completion percentage.

This includes surpassing 300 passing yards six times while posting multiple touchdown passes 10 times along with holding a passer rating above 100 eight on eight occasions. He was the orchestrator of the AFC’s highest-scoring offense at 28.6 points per game and led the NFL in total offense with 394.2 per contest. At this point, the only way that Brady may not reach that long-term aspiration is if his play declines tremendously or that he suffers a major injury.

All of this will depend on his play on the field each season that will be the ultimate determining factor for this last chapter of his career.
