New England Patriots quarterback remains limited in practice with a calf injury, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN. Reiss also added that it should be a “light practice” for Brady on Friday.

The Patriots are set to take on the New York Jets on Sunday, so at the moment, Brady's status for the matchup appears to be in question.

Brady has not missed a game due to injury since 2008, when he tore his ACL during the season opener.

The 42-year-old has looked brilliant over the first couple of weeks, throwing for 605 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions while completing 68.8 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 124.8.

Most recently, Brady went 20-for-28 with 264 yards and a couple of touchdowns in a 43-0 win over the Miami Dolphins last Sunday.

The Patriots have gotten off to a 2-0 start, also routing the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 33-3 in Week 1.

Brady is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which critics said he appeared to be declining as a result of a couple of rough performances during the second half of the season. He went on to throw for 4,355 yards, 29 touchdowns and 11 picks while completing 65.8 percent of his passes and recording a passer rating of 97.7, en route to the Pro Bowl.

Most importantly, Brady went on to lead New England to its sixth Super Bowl title.

The Pats are also aiming to win their 11th straight AFC East division crown this year and 16th in the last 17 years. The only season the Patriots have not won the division during that span was back in 2008, when Brady missed all but one game.
