After a Super Bowl Victory most players plans involve going out to celebrate and a lot of times it involves a lot of drinks. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady wanted to go out with his teammates after Super Bowl 36 but didn't want to get drunk, so he had a few tricks up his sleeve.

Jeff Howe of The Athletic released an excerpt of a book he co-wrote with Scott Zolak titled, “If These Walls Could Talk: New England Patriots.” In it, he had an anecdote about how far Brady went to make sure he didn't have to go shot for shot with his teammates.

Brady and his teammates were out at Abe & Louie's in Boston when his teammates started to order shots of Hennessy and Brady had to go behind their backs to enact a plan.

“Brady recognized where the night was heading and got out in front of it. My father, Joe Howe, was the bar manager at Abe & Louie’s for years, and he worked the bar for that party. Brady pulled my father aside with a special request: When they order me a shot, please just give me a water. I’ll pay for the shot if I have to. I just can’t drink that stuff all night.”

It really isn't that shocking Brady would go those lengths to make sure he didn't get drunk as that doesn't seem to be up his alley, especially now with his new health kick.

This story was before those day's of his strict diet though, but on this night after such a big victory Brady still decided water was his best option.
