New England Patriots wide receiver N'Keal Harry could be on the move soon and the Washington Football Team has emerged as one of his potential destinations in the near future. According to John Keim of ESPN, head coach Ron Rivera and his staff are reportedly keeping tabs on the Arizona product as other teams are also in the mix to acquire his services.

Washington's general manager in Martin Mayhew was previously part of the San Francisco 49ers front office who also set their sights on acquiring Harry back in the 2019 NFL Draft. However, things didn't go as planned as the receiver was nabbed by the Patriots with the 32nd pick in the first round.

Despite being a highly-touted prospect, Harry has yet to impress after spending two seasons of playing within Bill Belichick's system. He concluded a disappointing rookie campaign back in 2019 and followed it up with a dismal sophomore season in 2020. Harry previously recorded 309 receiving yards on 33 receptions and two touchdowns through 14 games played for the Patriots last season.

By putting themselves in the sweepstakes, Washington is hoping that it can develop Harry and see him live up to the billing of a first-round draft pick. The team already beefed up their receiving unit as they acquired former Carolina Panthers wideout Curtis Samuel to pair with Terry McLaurin next season.

Hopefully, a change in scenery would do wonders for N'Keal Harry's career as he seeks to bounce back after coming out with subpar outings in his first two seasons in the league.
