The New England Patriots and Sony Michel were looking to make a statement against the New York Jets in prime time to cap Week 7 of the 2019 NFL season. It is safe to say that they managed to do just that with a spectacular opening drive.

The Patriots slowly but surely made their way down the field against this Jets defense before capping their drive with an easy three-yard touchdown by Sony Michel, via ESPN:

This was certainly an ideal start to the game for the Patriots following a rough outing on offense in Week 6. Meanwhile, Sony Michel is also happy to get an early start on racking up the stats.

It is no secret that the second-year back had endured an underwhelming start to the season. Fortunately, he has managed to enjoy a bit of a resurgence as of late thanks to the increase in touches. Early indications suggest Michel could very well be primed for another big outing against this porous Jets defense.
