The New England Patriots are often discussed in terms only relative to Tom Brady. But there's more parts on the roster that equate to the total sum of the Patriots. One of those is wide receiver Danny Amendola, who was once considered a talent injured far too often, but he is now claiming his best football is still ahead of him.

“I want to get better. No matter really when or what time of year it is,” Amendola said, by way of the Providence Journal. “I’m always thinking about football around the clock. I’m always trying to get better every day. It sounds cliché, but that’s the bottom line.”

“Well, I feel like I can get better. I don’t think I’ve played my best football yet,” Amendola said. “Regardless of what’s happened in the past, I still think I can play good football and get better.”

After catching 23 passes for 243 yards in 12 games last season, the receiver has surpassed his numbers in five games this year (26 receptions for 307 yards). It is a relatively huge deal for the receiver, as he mentioned to the Providence Journal that there was a chance, at least before the 2016 season began, it could have been his last.

With the Patriots always dancing near the Super Bowl, and with their defense being a disaster this season, it is important for New England to get the most out of all its guys. That obviously includes Danny Amendola.

The good news here is that he believes he has far more in the thank.
