After notching a career-high in points in Thursday's win over the Utah Jazz, the New Orleans Pelicans gave Brandon Ingram a crazy reception in the locker room.

Ingram put up 49 points on 15-of-25 shooting from the field, 2-of-8 from deep, and 16-of-20 from the free-throw line in their gritty overtime victory over the Jazz. He also had eight rebounds and six assists.

Check out the clip below per Swin Cash. The Pelicans were playing possum, but Ingram had a hunch that he was about to receive a shower from teammates.

Ingram's career-night adds another layer to what has been considered his breakout year. For the season, he's averaging 25.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. His 2019-20 campaign has not only given Pelicans fans a light of hope in the post-Anthony Davis era, but it has also established Ingram as one of the rising stars in the NBA.
