It's starting to get seriously concerning for Joe Girardi and the Philadelphia Phillies — if it hasn't yet already. The Phillies are now third in the National League East division with just a 21-27 record and are a huge 10.5 games back of the division leaders, the New York Mets — the same team that swept Philadelphia in a recent three-game series at Citi Field. And when things are getting rough for a club, that team's manager is always going to find his seat getting warmer, though Joe Girardi doesn't seem to one to care about his job security.

Via Jon Heyman of the New York Post:

“I don’t worry about my job. I never worry about my job,” Girardi said after the Mets’ stunning 5-4, 10th-inning victory completed the three-game sweep — the Mets’ first of the young season. “I’ve got to do my job. It’s the business of being a manager.”

The frustration is showing. Girardi also told the questioner, “You ask me that every day.”

What makes the current debacle of the Phillies even more frustrating is the fact that they have a stacked roster, put together with an expensive payroll.

At the moment, FanGraphs is giving the Phillies just 26.7% to make the playoffs and only 3.9% to win the division.
