In mid-March, the Philadelphia Phillies signed Nick Castellanos to a five-year, $100 million deal. Going from the Cincinnati Reds to the Phillies is no small move, meaning that Castellanos and his family were bound to find a house closer to Philadelphia.

According to Anthony Gargano of 97.5 The Fanatic, the Castellanos family is headed to Ben Simmons' former home. Crossing Broad tweeted the clip of Gargano breaking the news on his midday sports radio talk show Wednesday afternoon.

“He's going into Ben Simmons' house…He bought Ben's house,” Gargano exclaimed, informing his co-host Andrew Salciunas and their listeners.

He also said that he hopes the New Jersey home isn't haunted because of its former owner. The radio host said that the new Phillies family needs to “have a priest in there before they move in,” just in case.

Castellanos' wife's recent tweet went along with the narrative, even playing along with the haunted house gag.

Barstool Philly shared the rumor in a tweet. Mrs. Castellanos hilariously replied, “Brought a housewarming gift” with a photo of an Amethyst energy cleansing smudge kit.

The 6 bedroom, 7 bathroom home is 10,477 square feet and sits on 1.78 acres of land. It was listed back in October with a $4,999,999 price tag and has sat on the market ever since.

Meanwhile, Simmons has been in New York with the Brooklyn Nets since he was traded back in February. Hopefully, Simmons took the bad vibes with him, so the new Phillies slugger can focus on his swing rather than ghost hunting.
