Bryce Harper continues to show that he has much love for Philadelphia Phillies fans.

Harper did not earn a start in the Phillies’ series finale against the San Diego Padres on Thursday. The veteran slugger has not played since the Phillies’ road win over the Los Angeles Dodgers last Saturday, where he belted a home run and recorded three RBI. He is recovering from a platelet-rich plasma injection, as he will not patrol right field for six weeks. However, he is slated to continue to be a regular in the team’s lineup as its designated hitter.

During the sixth inning of the Phillies’ home encounter with the Padres, Harper made a fan’s day. He swapped hats with a fan, which came as the reigning NL MVP Award winner was much fond of the latter's white Phillies cap.

The fan sure made a great deal, as the hat that he received from Harper was signed as well.

For now, the wait continues on just when Harper may make his return to the Phillies lineup. He has been on quite a tear in May, posting a .396 batting average to go along with six home runs and 13 RBI recorded through 12 games played. His keen showings as of late upped his batting average on the season to .305.

The Phillies have turned the corner as of late, winning five of their last seven contests.
