If Oklahoma City Thunder teammates Russell Westbrook and Steven Adams weren't in the same team, would the latter lead the NBA in rebounds? Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons doesn't believe so.

ProCity Hoops offered the hypothetical question to its followers. One of which is Drummond who sent out a quick reply:

Last season, Adams snagged a career-best nine rebounds per game. Many believe that he could be averaging more if it wasn't for Westbrook. Observation would reveal that Adams gives way for Westbrook to get the rebound so he can immediately start the break. Critics say that Adams is in on Westbrook's stat-padding antics. Westbrook, who's averaged a triple-double in the past two years, logged in 10.1 rebounds per game last season.

Given his size and strength, Adams is fully capable of averaging over 10 boards per contest. For Drummond, who led the NBA with 16 rebounds per night, Adams doesn't stand a chance even without Westbrook who's stealing all his rebounds.

Do you agree? Or does Drummond need to experience being teammates with Westbrook to fully understand the situation?

Either way, Drummond's comments could stir up a rivalry between him and Adams. The next Pistons-Thunder matchup could be a heck of a rebounding battle. Who's your pick?
