Detroit Pistons No. 12 overall selection Luke Kennard was voted as the best shooter in Tuesday's 2017-18 NBA rookie survey. Kennard won by an overwhelming amount of votes, recording 48.6 percent of the votes, followed by Charlotte Hornets shooting guard Malik Monk (13.5 percent) and three-and-D specialist Terrance Ferguson of the Oklahoma City Thunder (10.8 percent).

The right-handed player turned lefty sniper showed his prowess in the Summer League, making two big-time tying three-pointers in overtime against the Dallas Mavericks in the Utah Summer League final.

Even prior to being drafted, Kennard was known as one of the best long-range weapons in the draft, making 43.8 percent of his three-point field goals during his sophomore season at Duke University. His repertoire has expanded from being able to only spot-up to now shooting off the dribble and off either pocket, making him that much more of a lethal weapon at coach Stan Van Gundy's disposal.

Rounding out the top five in the conversation were Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma and Denver Nuggets wing Tyler Lydon, both tied at 5.4 percent of the vote.
