The latest Pokemon BDSP 1.2 update has banned clones from Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, but added Colosseum battles into the mix. Here's everything you need to know about the newest update to Pokemon BDSP.

Thankfully, even with the massive success of Pokemon Legends Arceus, Studio ILCA is still pushing content and updates for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. It only makes sense, though, as Pokemon BDSP has some competitive features that Pokemon Legends Arceus doesn't have. And with the Pokemon BDSP 1.2 update, the game's competitive aspect has just been enhanced.

Pokemon BDSP 1.2 Update Changelog

  • Cloned Pokemon Banned – An exploit has allowed players to clone their Pokemon. While Studio ILCA has been trying to curb the issue by fixing the exploit, they have ultimately made the clones a lot less potent, banning the cloned Pokemon from trading or from being transferred to either the Pokemon Bank or Pokemon Home.
  • Union Rooms Expanded – Players can now play local or internet communication in Union Rooms with more people. Also, Trainers can now also share Trainer Cards and Capsule Decorations with each other.
  • Colosseum Battles – Custom Battles are now available at the Colosseum, allowing you to challenge Trainers with custom rulesets. You can change the number of Pokemon, level caps, and choose between Single Battles, Double Battles, or Multi Battles in both local or internet communication.
  • Pokémon Trading and Battles – Players can no longer use Pokémon acquired via unintended methods or illicit modification in Link Trades or Link Battles.
  • General Quality of Life and Gameplay Fixes

More updates will be coming in the future past the Pokemon BDSP 1.2 update. There are still a couple of features that Trainers want to be implemented in Pokemon BDSP. This includes the Global Wonder Station, as well as the possibility of Pokemon Legends Arceus Home Transfer features, which would allow players to transfer their Pokemon from the past to the present, effectively making time-traveling Pokemon a much more common sight in the Pokemon canon.
