Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaks include new information about convergent species, which includes info about the new version of Diglett.

There have been numerous rumors about what’s to come in the new Pokemon games floating around recently. One of these rumors includes a new species of Pokemon called “Convergent Species”.

A prominent Pokemon leaker, Centro LEAKS, pointed out on Twitter that Convergent Species could be coming to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Social media was buzzing when this piece of information surfaced and had fans debating about what exactly the species is. The Pokemon leaker immediately clarified everyone’s information in another Twitter post. They went on to say that Convergent Species will look very similar to old Pokemon, however, they will be completely unrelated. Most likely these Pokemon will look like recolors of old Pokemon with a different type from one another. With that being said, it’s also possible that the Convergent Species of Pokemon will have their very own Pokedex entry.

As of right now, there’s only one Pokemon listed in the Convergent Species, and it’s none other than Diglet. According to Centro LEAKS, the Convergent version of Diglet could be a water type. Considering that Convergent Species will look similar to their original counterparts, we’re imagining that this Diglet might have a blue shade. Also, instead of coming from the ground, the Water Type Diglet could appear from the water this time around.

While this piece of information may sound interesting, fans should take this with a grain of salt. There are no confirmations yet regarding Convergent Species actually coming to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. However, it’s quite possible that it could happen considering how each new generation of Pokemon games always has a new species of Pokemon. For now, we’ll just have to wait for Game Freak to make any official announcements.
