A lot of people were a bit perplexed when the Oakland Raiders placed wide receiver Antonio Brown on the non-football injury list at the start of training camp, but nerves were calmed when Brown was back in practice less than 48 hours later.

But, Brown only partially participated in practice that day and has since been sidelined due to mysterious foot issues, issues that were brought to light when the wide out posted a brutal photo of his feet on Instagram.

Well, according to Chris Simms of NBC Sports, we may now have some type of idea as to why Brown's feet are in that condition. Simms has reported that Brown burned his feet by entering a cryotherapy machine without the proper footwear, which resulted in frostbite on his feet.

Just when you thought things possibly couldn't get any stranger with Brown.

Brown has seen a foot specialist and is currently regarded as day-to-day. The Raiders don't seem too concerned, but head coach Jon Gruden has expressed some frustration and disappointment that Brown has not been able to take the field.

Oakland acquired Brown in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this offseason, sending a third-round draft pick and a fifth-rounder to the Steelers in return.

The 31-year-old is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he played 15 games and hauled in 104 receptions for 1,297 yards and a league-leading 15 touchdowns en route to his sixth straight Pro Bowl appearance and seventh overall. He has also earned First-Team All-Pro honors four times.
