Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr signed a massive three-year, $121.5 million extension with the franchise on Wednesday. The Raiders rewarded Carr for one of the better years of his career, as he threw for a career-high 4,804 passing yards while leading Las Vegas to a playoff berth, the first of his career. However, the team bowed out in the Wild Card round against the Cincinnati Bengals, who went on to advance to the Super Bowl. The playoffs haven't been kind to Carr, as he has yet to win one postseason contest in his career. Carr has a message for any who doubt he can eventually win in the postseason, as reported by Pro Football Talk.

“The question of, Can I win a playoff game? Yeah, that’s ridiculous. Yes. Just because we haven’t, just because we had one chance and we lost in the last series of the game to the AFC champions? Yeah, I think we can,” Carr said.

Carr thinks it's “ridiculous” to even question whether or not he can win a playoff game as the Raiders' starter. Of course, in citing “just because we haven't” as a reason, Carr is bringing up a good counterargument.

His failure to do it is precisely why there are doubters. However, the Raiders star is confident in himself and his chances of making noise in the postseason- and maybe he should be.

Carr helped the Raiders quietly field one of the league's better passing attacks in 2021- and that same team just added former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams, perhaps the best wideout in the league, to the depth chart.

There's reason to believe that Carr could have his best season yet.
