When Tom Brady speaks, we all listen. And boy did he have something to say during his appearance on The Shop, when he threw some major shade at an unsuspecting rival quarterback, which some people have suspected to be the Las Vegas Raiders' Derek Carr.

Brady spoke candidly about his free agency prior to joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. One unnamed team, which may or may not be the Raiders, supposedly refused to get rid of their incumbent QB to make way for Tom Terrific.

“One of the teams, they weren’t interested at the very end. I was thinking, ‘You’re sticking with that motherf***er?'”

There's been a ton of speculation about whether it could be the Chicago Bears and Mitchell Trubisky, or the Tennessee Titans with Ryan Tannehill. But based on the intel of NBC Sports' NFL insider Mike Florio, the tea leaves point to the team in question being the Raiders and Derek Carr.

The Raiders QB, however, doesn't think so. Or at least, that's what he's been told. This comes via a follow up report from Mike Florio.

“From what I know it wasn’t me, which is good,” Derek Carr told Brother from Another on Wednesday. “I know you got the rings, but if it’s not me then we’re good. What I heard, it wasn’t me. And so I’m good with that.”

What the Raiders signal-caller says is hardly evidence against the argument. But I guess we'll never truly know for sure unless Tom Brady himself spills the beans.
