This corroborates Pro Football Talk's Monday morning report that Brown was close to picking a new helmet that would also come with an endorsement deal.
Brown has been engaged in a battle with the NFL over the usage of his helmet, which is now banned for no longer being certified by the NOCSAE, since the beginning of training camp.
The 31-year-old, who apparently threatened to step away the game if the league did not allow him to wear his preferred headgear, filed a grievance against the NFL and lost.
He then said he would be re-joining his Oakland Raiders teammates in camp before filing yet another grievance against the league, but, once again, Brown came up short.
Now, Rosenhaus says that the “door is closed” on Brown's fight to wear his current helmet.
