Aaron Donald played the most important game of his career last Sunday and he absolutely stepped it up for the Los Angeles Rams when it mattered most. So much so, that there have been calls about Donald deserving the Super Bowl MVP trophy more than Cooper Kupp.

Now that he's a Super Bowl champ, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year has now pretty much done it all in his career with the Rams. Donald will be turning 31 this May and there's no denying that he's no spring chicken. As such, there have now been some whispers about the seven-time All-Pro defensive tackle calling it a career.

Donald appears to have quelled these retirement rumors with his recent statement. Sounds like the Rams superstar is more than ready to run it back next season:

“We built a super team,” Donald said, via Ari Meriov of PFF. “If we can bring the super team back, why not run it back? We could be world champs again!”

First off, that doesn't sound like a man that's going to be joining Tom Brady in retirement anytime soon. Secondly, Donald is absolutely right about the Rams successfully building a super team. Their Super Bowl 56 triumph is a clear testament to this fact.

Barring any unforeseen turn of events, the likes of Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Jalen Ramsey, and Von Miller, to name a few, are all expected to return for the Rams next season. It's only fitting that Donald joins them to make sure that LA's core remains intact when they defend their crown next season.
