The Los Angeles Rams have signed C.J Anderson for a little insurance in case Todd Gurley has to take on a lighter load as he deals with knee inflammation. Gurley is expected to be able to go on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals but if Anderson is asked to take on a bigger role, he feels like he will be to pick up the offense quickly and he will be ready to go.

“I’ve been in this league long enough, and been around a bunch of offenses long enough, where it won’t take long to get acclimated,” Anderson said via the Los Angeles Times.

Anderson was a key part in protecting Peyton Manning and it's one of the stronger part of his games. Anderson is hoping that he can have that same role protecting Jared Goff for the Rams.

“When you got one of those guys who can win the game at any point, the best thing you got to do is try to keep them healthy,” Anderson said. “So I’m just going to do my part when that part’s called.”

Anderson won a Super Bowl with the Broncos and is hoping that he can use what he learned during that run to help the Rams as they try and make that run this year.

“I’m not saying I’m the missing piece,” Anderson said, “but they definitely got the opportunity, and to contribute any way possibly I can is always going to be special.”

The Rams currently sit in the second spot in the NFC standings. But after dropping two games in a row, Anderson will look to get the Rams back on track ahead of the postseason.
