The Los Angeles Rams have apparently filled an important void on the team's coaching staff. According to a recent report from Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times, the Rams intend to hire Zac Robinson as the team's new assistant quarterbacks coach.

Although not being tabbed as the Rams' top quarterbacks coach, it appears as though Robinson will receive a significant amount of responsibility upon making his way to Los Angeles.

“With quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor having moved on to become coach of the Cincinnati Bengals, the Rams will add Zac Robinson to the coaching staff as an assistant quarterbacks coach, a person with knowledge of the situation said,” reads Klein's report. “Shane Waldron is the pass-game coordinator and also has been given the title of quarterbacks coach, but Robinson — along with coach Sean McVay — is expected to handle most of the day-to-day coaching responsibilities related to Jared Goff and other quarterbacks”

The 32-year-old Robinson notably spent time as a quarterback at Oklahoma State during his collegiate playing days before ultimately being selected by the New England Patriots in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Draft. While failing to make the Patriots' regular season roster in the end, Robinson also went on to spend time as a member of the Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, and Cincinnati Bengals before eventually hanging up his cleats.

It is also worth noting that Robinson has served as an analyst for Pro Football Focus while there is absolutely no question that the up-and-coming coach has a great football mind.
