Let the Super Bowl media festivities begin! The talk of the town — literally — is Super Bowl 53 and Los Angeles Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman has already managed to find himself on the hot seat.

No, not because of the pass interference call that wasn't against the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship Game, but rather taking a shot at New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady…or was he?

Robey-Coleman originally stated that, “Age has definitely taken a toll” and “I think that he’s definitely not the same quarterback he was,” in regards to the 41-year-old Brady.

“That was out of context,” he said, via NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk. “Tom is a great quarterback. He’s the GOAT. He’s a legend. I’m not taking nothing from his game. I was asked a question about the difference between the past and now, I said his age. It wasn’t about ‘He’s old.’ I’m not taking nothing away from him. It was just his age.”

This has been quite the last few weeks for Robey-Coleman, who remained out of the limelight for the majority of the 2018-19 season for the Rams. With both Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib also manning the defensive backfield for the Super Bowl-bound Rams, Robey-Coleman often becomes a forgotten presence. Not this week, however.

As previously mentioned, the sometimes forgotten Rams defender played a vital role in his team ultimately reaching the NFL's version of a title game after prematurely hitting Saints wide receiver Tommylee Lewis, which went uncalled on the field.
