Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp became the first player since Jerry Rice to have over 1,000 receiving yards and 10 or more touchdowns through its team's first nine games.

Kupp corralled 11 more passes Sunday, for 95 yards. Through nine games, Kupp now has 74 catches for 1,019 yards and 10 touchdowns. Unfortunately, his performance tonight was not enough to help the Rams pull out a win.

The Titans beat the Rams 28-16 Sunday night. With the loss, Los Angeles fell to 7-2 on the season while the Titans improve to 7-2, atop the AFC.

Kupp had a breakout season in 2019 when he posted over 1,100 yards and 10 touchdowns. However, last season, the entire Rams offense to a step backward. That prompted Los Angeles to make a trade.

The Rams sent Jared Goff to Detroit for Matthew Stafford. They also sent a 3rd round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and their first round picks the next two years as well.

That is a lot of value to send in a trade. But early results show it might have been worth it. Stafford has Los Angeles among the league's elite offenses practically overnight.

Kupp has been one of the main beneficiaries. He has seen double digit targets every week but one. That week, he received nine targets.

It would be lunacy to say that Cooper Kupp is as good as Jerry Rice. At the very least though, the NFL world is taking notice at how good he is. The next question is, can anyone stop him?
