The Los Angeles Rams grabbed their fourth straight win to begin the 2018 season on Thursday night after topping the Minnesota Vikings 38-31 that saw wide receiver Robert Woods play an important factor.
However, it wasn't a completely joyous evening for Woods off the field as his home was robbed on Thursday during the game, according to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk.
According to a police report obtained by USA Today from the Los Angeles Police Department, three suspects broke a window in the back of Woods’ San Fernando Valley home. The burglars were spotted leaving the residence, with all three wearing hoodies.
Woods did report that he had some of his belongs taken from his home, but more importantly, nobody was harmed or put in harm's way during the entire situation. It is an unfortunate matter that could have had a much worse outcome it been more than just material things involved in the break-in at his home.
This does take away a bit from his career as it could rob him of his sense of security off the field as his home was invaded likely knowing because he was playing in a game. It has put him out of some items that were at his home, which should see a search done by the Los Angeles Police Department to resolve the situation arise in the coming days.
Woods had played quite well in Thursday's win over the Viking recording five catches for 101 receiving yards and a touchdown. It marked the second straight game with 100 receiving yard and a touchdown. In the first three games played, he has 24 catches for 322 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
