Monday Night Football this week is set to have a clash of some of the NFL's biggest stars. Two All-Pro talents Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey and Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins are going against each other in Week 4, and the mind games are already starting this early.

When asked if Ramsey will be matched up against Hopkins on defense, Rams coach Sean McVay chose to be cryptic, being intentionally vague on where the Rams cornerback will be positioned. (via Mike Florio, PFT)

“Perhaps. He’s a great player. They’re doing a good job moving the ball around. I think there’ll be some times that they might be matched up, and there might be some other times where they’re not. But, Jalen’s versatility will be on display, as will DeAndre’s and sometimes those guys will be aligned on one another. . . . So these are two premier players at their positions. There’ll be some times, but that versatility that Jalen displays is something that we’ll look into, but we’ll see how the game unfolds.”

Ramsey's versatility and defensive prowess has helped propel the Rams to a 3-0 record. Up against another undefeated team in the Cardinals, the Rams defense will be tested as they're up against one of the best receivers in the league in Hopkins. Ramsey, for his part, seems to relish in the fact that he's going up against one of the best in the game right now.

“He’s one of the best in the game,” Ramsey said of Hopkins. “The way he plays, he respects the game and how could I not respect that? Going against one of the not only best receivers in the game but, in my opinion, the best in the game. Also, he’s like an ultimate competitor. Every play where we’re kind of competing, I’m the same way, I’m wired the same way. That’s kind of where a lot of that comes from.”

It's shaping up to be an exciting matchup in Week 4. Can the so-called LeBron of the Rams conquer the Cardinals?
