The Los Angeles Rams acquired Von Miller from the Denver Broncos on Monday. Miller joins one of the league's best teams and is going to make the Rams even better.

The Rams announced that Von Miller received a blessing to wear the number 40 from the family of Rams all-time great, and Hall Of Famer Elroy “Crazy Legs” Hirsch. Under the tweet, there are fans already begging to know when the jersey is going to become available for purchase.

Hirsch is one of the best to ever lace it up for the Rams. He has a long list of accolades including a championship with the rams, a league record with 66 receptions for 1,495 yards, two-time First-team All-Pro, three-time Pro Bowl, NFL 50th, and NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time teams. Hirsch was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of fame. He served as the franchise's general manager from 1960-1969.

If someone has a resume as impressive as Hirsch it's Von Miller. Miller is a Super Bowl champion, Super Bowl MVP, three-time First-Team All-Pro, eight-time Pro Bowl, and was named to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team while receiving every one of the voters' votes.

Miller and the Rams are going to be a tough beat for anyone come playoff time. He will continue the history of Hirsch and honor him by wearing his number.
