Yet another year has passed and yet another Super Bowl appearance it will be for future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Now a 41-year-old signal caller, Brady will be taking on the surging Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl 53, which will mark the quarterback's ninth appearance in the NFL's version of a championship game.

Looking for his sixth title overall, Brady continues to impress despite his age. As a result, Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips has an interesting theory regarding the Patriots quarterback and his ability to remain atop the league.

“Well, unfortunately for me, I get older, but Tom Brady doesn’t,” the Rams defensive coordinator joked, via NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk.

The 71-year-old Phillips has always had a sense of humor but the veteran NFL mind obviously realizes the challenge that the Rams currently face with Brady and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick set to stand on the opposing sideline come next Sunday in Atlanta.

“Besides the guy being a great player, I just have so much respect for him,” Phillips added. “He seems like such – now, I don’t know him well – but, he has so much class. He says all the right things all the time — the right kind of guy. He’s leading the league in passing in the playoffs, and he’s already won four [Super Bowl] MVPs [and three league MVPs], so I don’t know if there’s any critics of him. If there are, I’d like to critique them.”
